About Our Resources

Did You Know?
- Solar Electricity
and its related industries are growing by leaps and bounds. Global solar
cell production is doubling every two years and new technologies are coming
online as we speak. Solar power is the world’s fastest growing energy industry.
- That a federal renewable portfolio standard (RPS)
requires 10 percent of electricity consumed in the U.S. to come from renewable
sources by 2012.
- That today's modern solar panels are lightweight,
strong and can even resist heavy hail. Solar power systems also add value to
your home. A solar panel array can generate all, or part of your family's
typical electrical requirements. Solar power arrays provide clean, renewable
energy that can reduce or eliminate your electric bill.
- That when you turn on the lights in your home, fossil
fuels are burning to make your electricity. It may surprise you to know your
home produces a bigger carbon footprint than the family car (or two). That means
more carbon emissions than the exhaust from your automobiles internal
combustion engine.
